Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Due to the extremely high number of applications we have been receiving, the review process will take anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks.

A little About Puppuccino...

Watch a video of Puppuccino playing fetch! Puppuccino is an adorable and quirky little guy. We’re guessing he’s a silky terrier, about 8 years old and 18 lbs. He attaches himself quickly and loves to be near his human, preferring to initiate petting when he wants some love. He enjoys his chew bones, is a perfect sleeper and has not had any accidents or chewed on anything in his foster home. He is particular about his food and likes when you’re with him while he eats. He loves to play fetch but getting him to stop is another story … he could go on for hours if you let him.  He sits nicely to have his leash put on or taken off. He likes most dogs and has one particular dog friend that he enjoys walking with. He will bark appropriately to ask for food or a walk … when you ask what he wants, he will run to the door or kitchen. He is very smart and learns quickly. Most often, Puppuccino is the sweetest little thing but he needs a structured home with a human who is willing to accept and work with him, preferably an adult home without too much traffic. If you give him a chance, he promises to love you forever! Be sure to complete an application on line and meet Puppuccino at our Meet & Greet Saturday 11:30-1:30
