Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Due to the extremely high number of applications we have been receiving, the review process will take anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks.

A little About Homer...

This is Homer, but we won't blame you for thinking it's "Scooby Doo".  His foster mom says "He is a darling". He is good at communicating and taking commands.  For example he sleeps on his bed in his foster's room and waits to be asked before jumping up with them. He loves to snuggle to start the day.  He walks well on a leash and has perfect manners in the house.  Homer is housebroken, and is a very smart, trainable pup with a very long list of commands to which he already responds...Aqui ( come in Spanish), sit, down, stay, touch, leave it, shake, watch. He is very food motivated and loves doing tricks for treats.  Give him a  treat and you have a friend forever.  He loves people, and enjoys the company of older kids.  Homer is very easy and fun to be around,  He is incredibly sweet and absolutely loves being with his family.  He has so much love to give...and will do best as your one and only four footed family member.  Homer has indicated that he is not a fan of cats. When it's time to relax, he will lay by your side, and provide loving companionship. Can you offer this boy a forever home to show off for you, and demonstrate what a devoted companion he is?
