Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Due to the extremely high number of applications we have been receiving, the review process will take anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks.

A little About Nutmeg...

Meet Nutmeg, a 4 month old lab mix pooch, who weighs 16 lbs. This girl's name shouldn't be Nutmeg, but Sugar... 'cause she is so sweet. Nutmeg is a very polite companion.  With the right cues, she waits calmly for her treats, food and cuddles.  When she plays, she has so much fun, but can easily change into chill mode and be the best couch potato that has crossed your path. Nutmeg is crate trained and is working on her housebreaking. Nutmeg is a bit shy around dogs and some humans that she doesn't know, so she'll need someone patient to teach her that other dogs and people can be so much fun.
