Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Please come meet our adoptable dogs at our Meet & Greet, every Saturday from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Pet Rescue, 7 Harrison Ave, Harrison NY 10528. Please call us with any questions you may have about our sweet dogs: 914-835-3332

A little About Lavender...

Look at those ears! Lavender is a beautiful puppy who loves getting those big floppy ears scratched.  During the first couple of months of her life Lavender had little  human contact, so she is still learning how loving and gentle we can be.  She has made great progress with her current foster family.  She is now playing with toys and her sister Matilda.  Lavender is still shy and is looking for her perfect person to earn her trust, but cannot wait to feel loved and safe in her forever home. Lavender must be placed in a home with another dog.  A canine buddy will help build her confidence.
