Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Please come meet our adoptable dogs at our Meet & Greet, every Saturday from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Pet Rescue, 7 Harrison Ave, Harrison NY 10528. Please call us with any questions you may have about our sweet dogs: 914-835-3332

A little About Sherry...

**WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR SHERRY, BUT PLEASE CONTINUE TO MONITOR OUR PETRESCUE SITE FOR OTHER AVAILABLE DOGS.**

Sherry is an adorable, friendly 2-year old terrier mix who likes her belly rubbed by the whole family.   She weighs 25 pounds.  Sherry's tail is always wagging and it's clear she enjoys life. She is mostly housebroken, walks well on a leash and sleeps through the night. She greets other dogs well. Sherry is working on her manners training and would do best with a family that has older children ready to be loved by an exuberant dog.  Sherry is a wonderful dog ready to walk, play or chill beside you while you work.  She will be your new best friend.
