Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Please come meet our adoptable dogs at our Meet & Greet, every Saturday from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Pet Rescue, 7 Harrison Ave, Harrison NY 10528. Please call us with any questions you may have about our sweet dogs: 914-835-3332

A little About Ace...

Look at that grin!  Ace can't wait to meet the world.  His mission is to treat every day as a new adventure.  At just a year old, Ace is a bundle of energy.  He's friendly, enthusiastic, spirited and eager to please.  He loves to learn, play with his toys and keep busy both physically and mentally.  Ace's ideal forever family will have a home with a fenced in yard, not an apartment. He will thrive in an active family, and would never say no to trips to the dog park.  Just watch Ace show off and demonstrate that he already knows some basic commands. Ace enjoys his quiet times also.  He enjoys playtime with other dogs, and most of all loves the company of humans. He is very affectionate and will cover you with sloppy kisses, and let you know that he would like to spend as much time with you as possible.  He will lie quietly and snuggle against you while he gratefully accepts scratches and pets, and he may even fall asleep. Ace loves life and wants to share it with his new family.
