Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Please come meet our adoptable dogs at our Meet & Greet, every Saturday from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Pet Rescue, 7 Harrison Ave, Harrison NY 10528. Please call us with any questions you may have about our sweet dogs: 914-835-3332

A little About Miracle...

Miracle is a special senior who will make you fall in love all over again. She was left at a firehouse with a heartbreaking note. The note said that her owner could no longer take care of her, and hoped by doing this, she would get the care she deserves. Miracle was brought to Petrescue and one of our wonderful foster moms is caring of her now in her home.  She named her Miracle, and life is good.  Miracle uses wee wee pads, is well mannered and calm and gets along with her canine foster buddies. Truth be told...Miracle’s favorite pastime is being held and loved. If you’ve been looking for the companionship of a wonderful pet, and understand that age is no barrier to love, then Miracle is your girl.
