Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Please come meet our adoptable dogs at our Meet & Greet, every Saturday from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Pet Rescue, 7 Harrison Ave, Harrison NY 10528. Please call us with any questions you may have about our sweet dogs: 914-835-3332

A little About Asher...

Who can resist those searching, beautiful brown eyes? Asher is a sweet, but shy Shepherd/Lab Mix who is still learning to trust humans.  Asher is getting more and more comfortable and relaxed in his foster home, as he begins to interact with his foster mom and foster buddies. We actually caught him in a "butt in the air, I want to play" position. Asher sleeps quietly in his crate overnight, and is housebroken.
He will thrive in a calm, loving home with adult children.  Asher must have a fenced in yard and needs another dog in the home to help him build confidence.
Can you open your heart and home to this gentle soul? Asher has been living in a foster home with his bast friend Willow, and that's where their romance started.  Introverted at the kennel, they have blossomed and formed a beautiful bond—playing together, sharing their toys, cuddling on a shared bed and grooming each other. Maybe, just maybe we can find them a home together!  Please share their love story. They are housebroken and would do well in a calm home with a fenced in yard.  In some ways, having two dogs is easier than one because they keep each other company. #twiceasnice, #bettertogether.
