Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Please come meet our adoptable dogs at our Meet & Greet, every Saturday from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Pet Rescue, 7 Harrison Ave, Harrison NY 10528. Please call us with any questions you may have about our sweet dogs: 914-835-3332

A little About Ivory...

Meet Ivory! She is in a foster home who says if they weren't moving, she would defintely be a keeper! Ivory is a very easy-going, low maintenance, amenable pooch. She is sweet, gentle, quiet and sensitive — just wants to be near you and to please you. She listens well and is not at all pushy ... she loves belly rubs and pets, and gives gentle kisses in return. She collects her soft toys on her bed and loves to chew on hard bones. She is housebroken and non-destructive — she does not need to be crated when you leave the house. She likes to go on walks but is just as happy to lounge around. Ivory is friendly with other dogs and plays nicely at the dog park ... she has lived with a dog before. She is OK with cats too. How much more perfect can a dog be? Come fall in love with Ivory!
