Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Please come meet our adoptable dogs at our Meet & Greet, every Saturday from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Pet Rescue, 7 Harrison Ave, Harrison NY 10528. Please call us with any questions you may have about our sweet dogs: 914-835-3332

A little About Jabba...

Jabba is an adorable 2 year old, 13 lb. Chihuahua with a winning smile! This happy guy is very sweet and friendly, and is getting used to all the new sights and sounds in his foster home. He enjoys his toys, especially playing fetch, and loves to crawl into his foster mom's lap to cuddle and take a snooze. Jabba loves people but is not fond of cats and seems to be scared initially of other dogs. He barks then makes friends and wants to play. He is housebroken and would do best living in a home, not an apartment. He's an easy keeper, with a continuously wagging tail... an easy guy to love.
