Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Please come meet our adoptable dogs at our Meet & Greet, every Saturday from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Pet Rescue, 7 Harrison Ave, Harrison NY 10528. Please call us with any questions you may have about our sweet dogs: 914-835-3332

A little About Toliver...

Hello! My name is Toliver but I’m called “Ollie” for short.  I am a 2-year-old, 19-pound Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix.  I am a sweet, playful boy who really enjoys a good lap to cuddle in.  I also love taking walks and riding in the car with you.  If you must leave home, I will jump for joy upon your return, even if you just went out to get the mail.  I promise I will never make a mess or chew anything inappropriate.  I had heartworm which was treated however, I have other issues with my heart and require daily medication.  You would not know I had a heart problem if I did not tell you!  I prefer a quiet home, or a home with older children.   I would do best in the suburbs and therefore, I am not a candidate for city living.  I am getting lots of love and attention in my foster home.  Will you take me home and spoil me?
