Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Please come meet our adoptable dogs at our Meet & Greet, every Saturday from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Pet Rescue, 7 Harrison Ave, Harrison NY 10528. Please call us with any questions you may have about our sweet dogs: 914-835-3332

A little About Justin...

Justin is a sweet 2 year old neutered Yorkie mix from Texas, and is up to date on all vaccines.  He was surviving on the streets during storms that resulted in city flooding.  His foster mom says that he is now a social butterfly who has blossomed into a happy, high energy boy that likes all dogs, and loves to wrestle with his foster siblings, especially Julie who is also available for adoption at Petrescue. He enjoys running, playing with his toys, and a good game of Tug-O-War.  Justin's perfect home would include adults, older children and a fur-sibling to keep him busy with constant playtime.
