Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Please come meet our adoptable dogs at our Meet & Greet, every Saturday from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Pet Rescue, 7 Harrison Ave, Harrison NY 10528. Please call us with any questions you may have about our sweet dogs: 914-835-3332

A little About Remy...

Remy, 3.5 month old lab mix who weighs 12 pounds.  Remy is doing well in her foster home with her buddy Pepper (who is up for adoption too), 4 kids and 2 furry foster-siblings. Remy made an easy transition into her foster home and loves to play and romp around with everyone. When it is time to snuggle up, she loves to be picked up and hugged and enjoys cuddling on the couch. She follows her foster mom around and is very good about coming when called.  Remy sometimes needs  encouragement to go outside but most of the time will follow the other dogs out.  She loves chewing her bones and toys and has a very good appetite.  Remy is learning to walk on a leash and does better walking with a pack.  She is super calm in the car and likes to go for rides.  She’s working on her potty training and if kept on a schedule will do very well.  She sleeps quietly in her crate/play pen at night.  She would be an amazing addition to a family who is around often and likes to have their dog with them during the day. Come meet Remy today!!
