Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Please come meet our adoptable dogs at our Meet & Greet, every Saturday from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Pet Rescue, 7 Harrison Ave, Harrison NY 10528. Please call us with any questions you may have about our sweet dogs: 914-835-3332

A little About Paige...

Meet Paige. After just a short period of time, she is feeling quite confident in her foster home. She bonds quickly, and understands the NO command... is very affectionate and playful. She loves to snuggle and be petted and loved, and bonded very quickly with her foster mom.  Paige is dog and cat friendly…When her foster family’s cat hissed at her, she didn’t care one bit.  She would like to play with her 16 year old foster canine brother, but at his age he wasn’t interested, and Paige understood. She currently sleeps in bed with her foster mom and her canine brother. Paige is as happy as can be in the backyard, rummaging through the bushes. We think there may be some Jack Russel in her mix. We’ve learned that Paige is an escape artist, so if a fenced in yard is to be used, it must be secure, and all doors opened carefully.  She is 95% housebroken, is currently working on leash training, and has made great strides.  She is still fearful of loud noises, but a little gentle coaxing and she is on her way again.  Be sure to complete an application on line and continue to monitor our website for updates.
