Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Please come meet our adoptable dogs at our Meet & Greet, every Saturday from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Pet Rescue, 7 Harrison Ave, Harrison NY 10528. Please call us with any questions you may have about our sweet dogs: 914-835-3332

A little About Sissy...

Sissy is so easy to love.  She is friendly with people and other dogs...is sweet and is not stingy with kisses. Sissy is housebroken and sleeps easily in her crate overnight.  She is docile indoors but enjoys walks and playing outside. She had a spa day in her foster home, where she got a bath, a brushing and nail trim, and did very well. Sissy is frightened by loud noises and noisy cars and trucks, so she is not a candidate for city living. Sissy cannot resist a good chew, so that's a cautionary note, but she responds to "no" and course corrects. Children's toys etc. will have to be kept out of her reach.  Sissy is a calm, sweet girl and will be a welcome member of her forever family.  Watch a video of this adorable lovebug!
