Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Please come meet our adoptable dogs at our Meet & Greet, every Saturday from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Pet Rescue, 7 Harrison Ave, Harrison NY 10528. Please call us with any questions you may have about our sweet dogs: 914-835-3332

A little About Z Cooper-Courtesy Listing...

Cooper is a sweet, loyal, and obedient 4 year old, 26 lbs rat terrier mix who wants nothing more than to be with his people 95% of the time.  He is a real gentleman with great manners (he only chews his own toys, he does not climb on furniture, he sits by the door to signal when he needs to go out, and he waits in his bed prior to meals.)  He loves to play and squeak his toys, fetch and tug of war, and nap in sun beams. Most of all he wants to be included in the goings on of the home.
He will also do anything for a treat- and his favorites are fruits like apples, oranges and pears!
While Cooper is a wonderful companion, he also requires an experienced and patient owner with an adults only (or at least grown children) household, and preferably without other animals as well.
Cooper also has mild epilepsy that is treated daily with medication.  He is also on some anti-anxiety medicine.
To minimize disruption, we will be providing all of Cooper's things, which includes beds, crate, harness/collar/jackets, toys, and medications. If you are interested in this dog, please contact adamrjones24@gmail.com
