Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Please come meet our adoptable dogs at our Meet & Greet, every Saturday from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Pet Rescue, 7 Harrison Ave, Harrison NY 10528. Please call us with any questions you may have about our sweet dogs: 914-835-3332

A little About Oakley...

Meet Oakley!  This sweet boy recently celebrated turning a year old with his foster family!  He has been in a foster home for a few weeks and is completely house broken. He knows how to sit, stay, and lay down.  He loves to sleep upside down and has such good manners, that he sits when he eats.
Oakley would love to find a home with another dog to help him feel more confident and to find that special bond that he currently has with his foster brother.  Oakley does like to chase the cats in his current home, so would be best in a household without any adorable furry kitty friends.
Some of his favorite things are meeting new people and dogs on his daily walks along with hiking, running and playing!  He can entertain himself all day just by throwing his favorite toy up into the air.
He loves to snuggle up at night with his humans but seems to really have a special love for children.
Oakley would be a great addition to a family that is looking for an amazing family dog.  He would also do best with a family that is home most of the day and can give all the attention he asks for and all the love this sweet boy deserves!
