Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Please come meet our adoptable dogs at our Meet & Greet, every Saturday from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Pet Rescue, 7 Harrison Ave, Harrison NY 10528. Please call us with any questions you may have about our sweet dogs: 914-835-3332

A little About Mayte...

This sweet pup has settled in beautifully to her foster home. She is very affectionate, and loves to relax and cuddle on the couch with her people. Mayte enjoys walks, playing with other dogs, playing with toys,  especially "fetch", chewing her bone and giving hugs and kisses.  She is always very gentle with kids and other dogs. She sleeps quietly through the night in her crate and has learned to sit for a treat.  She is very considerate, housebroken and always does her business outside. Mayte's favorite pastime is to love her humans, especially kids. She would be a great second dog or your one and only.
