Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Please come meet our adoptable dogs at our Meet & Greet, every Saturday from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Pet Rescue, 7 Harrison Ave, Harrison NY 10528. Please call us with any questions you may have about our sweet dogs: 914-835-3332

A little About David...

**WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR DAVID, BUT PLEASE CONTINUE TO MONITOR OUR PETRESCUE SITE FOR OTHER AVAILABLE DOGS.**
David is a joyful, fun and even tempered dog. He likes to take in his environment and surroundings and nicely warms up to people and other dogs. He benefits from being reassured at first and then he’s ‘all in’. He will be by your side calmly, play joyfully and then rest quietly. David makes a perfect companion for individuals of all ages, including kids, and families alike. He likes cozy moments, playing catch with his toys, and bath time too! David is housebroken, comfortable staying in a crate and sleeps soundly in there throughout the night. He walks nicely on a leash and is attentive and responsive. David’s foster family is having a great time with him... there is lots of love and laughter shared amongst all.  We know David will bring all this and more to his forever home as well!
