Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Please come meet our adoptable dogs at our Meet & Greet, every Saturday from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Pet Rescue, 7 Harrison Ave, Harrison NY 10528. Please call us with any questions you may have about our sweet dogs: 914-835-3332

A little About Dexter...

Dexter lost his home through no fault of his own.  He is a gorgeous silver
Labrador Retriever with all of his AKC papers.  He is 8 months old and still
growing. He is currently about 85 pounds.  Dexter is energetic and super
playful.  He loves to meet new people, go to new places and check out the
world.  He is up for car rides and for exploring the outdoors.  Dexter gets
along with dogs and would be happy with a buddy his size.  Because of his size and level of enthusiasm, he will do best in a home with adults or teens.  Are you up for
bringing this goofy, smart, playful, loving boy into your home?
