Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Please come meet our adoptable dogs at our Meet & Greet, every Saturday from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Pet Rescue, 7 Harrison Ave, Harrison NY 10528. Please call us with any questions you may have about our sweet dogs: 914-835-3332

A little About Luna...

This beautiful girl has had a difficult beginning, found as a stray, living in a large storm drain...but is now living a safe, cared for life in her foster home. Luna is a very sweet gentle giant. She loves to go on walks and will get excited when she sees the leash. She is an easy walk and won't pull on the leash.  Luna loves dogs of all sizes and doesn't mind cats...and Luna loves people of all ages.  She will even talk to you when she gets excited or wants something.  Luna can be very playful at times but for the most part is a calm dog. She is fully housebroken and working on her crate training and learning basic commands.  This resourcefull pup is pretty perfect, and will make a loving addition to any family.
