Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Due to the extremely high number of applications we have been receiving, the review process will take anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks.

A little About Bubba...

If you’ve been looking for a bundle of cuteness, look no further. Meet Bubba, a handsome 3 year old, 43 pound Basset mix dog. Bubba had a rough time before he came to NY, but he’s loving life now as he discovers all the great things life has to offer. He has fun living with and playing with his 3 furry foster brothers, who are happy to show him the ropes. It's not imperative, but Bubba will benefit by having a canine buddy in his new forever home. Bubba is building trust with humans, so he’s cautious when meeting new people but allows everyone including young children to approach and pet him.   Bubba is a smart cookie, doing a great job learning his manners. Needless to say, crate training and housebreaking were a breeze. He is great in the car and on a leash. He’ll do best in an adult home with older kids who will be patient, and no doubt he’ll be a loyal family member forever.
