Rose and her sister Misty (also posted) are such adorable kittens, born on 4-15-09. They are very sweet, playful and friendly with the most distinctive, calico markings.
Simba
Simba is desperately in need of a foster home - please email commandk9@verizon.net if you can foster this sweet boy. Simba is a neutered male, domestic short haired senior cat. He is insulin dependent, though we are trying to get to the point that he can be controlled with a prescription diet. He is also a bit of a loner as he had been an only cat and owned by a single woman who abandoned him in a vacant apt when she got married. Please give this sweet boy a chance.
Stacy is a beautiful girl, about 2 years old. Very sweet & friendly.
Snowflake
Snowflake a/k/a Reva is a charmer and a survivor. This little beauty was found on a Yonkers street, after having been thrown off a roof by some cruel children. Not only did she suffer neurological problems from this horrible treatment, but she was emaciated and covered with fleas and dirt. This tough little lady has recuperated beautifully, but still has the "wobbles", though she always manages to get to wherever she wants to go, including the litter box. Her impaired nerve condition will not get worse. Snowflake is enthusiastic about people and loves to play -- especially boxing. We're so happy that we were able to save this lovely, happy creature. Come meet her and we know you'll want to take her home.
Billie is a beautiful, sweet calico girl, approx. 7 years old, who had a loving home until her owner went to a nursing facility. Billie is easygoing, always happy to be petted and carried, and great with other cats. Our Billie is quite a gal. For anyone who loves calicos, Billie is a prize.
Baci
Baci (means "kiss" in Italian) is a beautiful 6 year old platinum tabby that is very sweet, affectionate and just loves to "kiss" people. She is a lap cat, sleeps in bed with her human and loves to be held. She needs to find a home where she can be the only feline. To learn more about Baci, please contact Piera at 914-419-0099 or at PIERA117@aol.com.(courtesy listing)
Rosie is a beautiful girl, about 5 years old. This sweetie came to Pet Rescue after her owner was evicted. She is a little shy and confused right now after losing her home but very sweet nonetheless. She would do fine in a home with other cats ( as long as they are not too bossy as that would overwhelm her).
Cass was rescued from the CACC with his leg in such terrible shape that it had to be amputated. Now, this sweet and friendly tabby boy livens up his foster home with his charm and his antics. He is a three-legged wonder who will add joy to your home. To learn more about Cass, contact Uptown Vets at 212-222-1221. (courtesy listing)
Iris
Iris, a two-year-old bright calico (orange, white, and dark tabby) has enviable self-confidence. Having been abandoned on the streets does not make her feel any less of a high-born lady. When we put Iris' carrier in the group room, she didn't hesitate for a moment to step out to inspect the premises and the other cats. Iris may be too much of a Queen to be a companion for your lonely cat but if you want just one lively and affectionate friend, Iris would fit the bill.
Senior seeking Senior
Honey is a beautiful female tabby with a soft silky coat. Her owner just passed away and she is left looking for a place to live out her twilight years. She doesn't ask for much except for a warm place to lay her head, an occasional back rub and a few toys to play with. She has been to the vet recently and received a clean bill of health. She is affectionate yet not pushy and would prefer a home without other pets. Honey is a sweetie and around 12 years old.
Patricia
Patricia is a sweetheart of a young cat (about 2 1/2 years old) whose mothering days are behind her. Friendly as can be, this tabby is a virtual purr machine who loves to be brushed, petted and flip over onto her back for a belly rub. A true lap cat, Patricia is great with kids and would make a wonderful family pet. She is spayed, in great health and ready to go to her forever home.
Lily (her sister Geri was recently adopted) is a black beauty and a born leader. She is so very curious, with more than a touch of mischief in her dynamic nature. Lily has lost some vision in one of her eyes due to a ruptured ulcer, but that doesn't prevent this active, lively cat from making her way in the world.
Lily is playful and loving and gets along great with other cats and dogs.
Val
Val is a busybody, exploring every corner and every height. He came from a family of Van cats, a Turkish breed, white with black spots. Val does very nicely with other cats. In his time with Pet Rescue, this elegant cat has gone from being shy to enthusiastically claiming his share of love and attention.
Misty and her sister Rose (also posted) are adorable kittens, born on 4-15-09. Now spayed, they are very sweet, playful and friendly, with lovely distinctive calico markings.
Maybee
Maybee started life a deli cat. She disappeared one day and returned to the store months later, skinny, starved and guarding her kitten. The owner didn't care enough to take her back in, so people on the street fed her. She is quiet and mellow with her foster mother, but shy, and afraid of strangers. She needs a patient friend who will give their relationship time to develop. If you would like to meet Maybee, please contact Kristi at 212.229.9804 or email at kristiroberts@earthlink.net. (courtesy listing)
Gracie, now about 1 1/2-2 years old, is soft as silk and loves to be stroked. A truly independent feline with personality plus (and a mischievous streak), Gracie is energetic, very lovable and ready to be a great companion in a home with people who will enjoy her playful and affectionate nature.
Midnight
Midnight is a big love and absolute lap cat! She would love nothing more then to hang out in your lap all day getting pets and giving kisses. She is still playful and gets along well with cats and (calmer) dogs.
Claire is one amazing cat! After a veterinarian found her wandering the streets of New York City, Claire came to Larchmont Animal Hospital, where she is staying until she finds her forever home. She is tons of fun and loves to play! She has a great personality and is very affectionate. She is surrounded by dogs & other cats all day long and does not seem to have a problem with either. Claire is about a year old. For more information, please call (914) 834-0199 (courtesy listing)
Katy
This sweet princess thought she was already living her happy ending when a kind elderly woman rescued her from a lonely life of fear, hunger, and homelessness. But her beloved owner is, sadly, too ill to live alone and has to leave Katy behind to move out of state. Now Katy is hoping to find someone new to love. She's a young cat but needs daily thyroid medication in her food. Will you be Katy's second chance?
Roz, long, with an elegant Egyptian profile, gets along with everyone and keeps busy playing with toys and enjoying window views if she is not rolling over to be stroked. She will make a loving family companion without being over demanding. Roz was brought to us late one night after being taken out of a cramped cage in a NJ pound where she was not going to be given a chance.
Patricia & Pam
After being cared for in a city apartment, Patricia and her daughter Pam were moved from the city with their family only to be abandoned to the street. At first, they were given their food outside and then they were not allowed in doors at all. After that, their family stopped feeding them altogether but an elderly woman in the neighborhood noticed the helpless pair and began to take over their care, feeding them and giving them shelter. She is trying her best but feels she is not up to the job and would like to see them in a caring home with younger people. The mother is quiet but willing to make friends, winds around your legs and appreciates being brushed. The daughter is playful and lively.
Penelope is full of energy and sweetness although she is FIV positive and the vet guesses about 2 years old. She was found on the street fending for herself but responded readily to the woman who rescued her. Her street experience has made her a little wary at times so it would be wonderful if someone with patience and understanding would help this little cat.
Shana
Shana is a beautiful long haired tuxedo. She was a wonderful mom to a litter of newborn kittens that were not even hers and now she deserves a home of her own. She is very sweet and friendly.

Pokey
Pokey, 5 years old, is a beautiful sweet bundle of cat. He was adopted as a kitten and for no fault of his own, had to be returned these years later. His trustingness and sweet personality shows that he had a loving home. Although he manages to coexist with other cats, we know that he would be much happier being a one-and-only.
Ashley was found in the Bronx fending for herself when she was just 2 months old. She was so totally frightened of all humans when we first met her. Now, she simply loves to play and sit on your lap and be cuddled. She is making up for her sad start in life, and appreciates love, kind words and good food! She loves to play ball with you, is starved for affection and has been totally socialized. Ashley has had all of her shots, has been spayed, and is now 6 months old, AND VERY HEALTHY! She is simply a precious sweety. Please call : Gay at 914 907-2645 if you are interested in adopting her.
Joey II
Hi my name is Joey and I was first found living on the streets in Yonkers. Then a kind person took me into her home, but sadly, could no longer keep me. I am affectionate and loving and just want to have a home to call my own again. I love playing, toys, catnip, food and am good with other cats and dogs. Joey is FELV/FIV negative, neutered, and up to date with all vaccinations. Contact rpps@optonline.net for more information about this 2 year old feline. (courtesy listing)
JOEY a lithe tabby was flown to Pet Rescue from California with his brother when the woman who rescued them from the street went to a nursing room. Joey needs a home with someone who will be patient and nurturing because Joey is shy but he does respond to loving attention. He gets along with other cats and would love to be part of a little group.
