W Kittens

Pippin (Male) Long Hair Brown Tabby All five kittens are absolute little loves. Born around April 1, they are quick to purr, very socialized, sweet, and comfortable around people. The five siblings love to play and wrestle together and have been cautiously curious in exploring the house. They are used to coming to the call of “kitty, kitty, kitty” when getting their meals. They all use the little box well. This is a truly special group – they will add so much fun and warmth to your home! These young kittens must be adopted with each other or in a household with another kitten or young cat. Rescued in 2016.

Wags

is a gorgeous long haired female, about 4 months old. She is affectionate, playful and good with other cats. Her brother Tails is available also.

Waldo

Found wandering on the streets, Waldo is a new addition to Pet Rescue and what a wonderful boy he is! He walks right up to you and rubs against your leg just asking to be petted. In his new foster home, Waldo will crawl into bed with his foster dad and purr up a storm. About 2 to 3 years old, you couldn't ask for an easier or friendlier cat.

COMING SOON - Waldo was born in one of our foster homes on 3/13/16. Waldo's mom was rescued by one of our volunteers and is super friendly. Part of a litter of kittens that includes Waldo, Fishy and Pierre, Waldo is very easy going and playful. He must be adopted with another kitten and will be available around May 13th. bp Rescued in 2016.

Wally

is one of those natural aristocrats. With a handsome round heat and beautiful swirl of black and beige tabby markings, he is unselfconscious. He can walk into any room and make himself comfortable. If challenged, he merely observes and then goes about his business. Very affectionate, he will readily roll on his back and welcome a belly rub but doesn't try to compete with others for attention. He is a little over a year old. What a cat!

Wally

Wally is the classic tabby everyone loves! His handsome stripes are accented by the white "trim" on his face. He is a fierce hunter of his squeaky mouse toy -- you can't help but chuckle at this game! He is sure of himself and casually explores the house and its residents. Born around mid-May, Wally is good with dogs and other cats. Little Wally is sure to steal your heart! Rescued in 2013.

Walter

is about 1 1/2 years old and extraordinarily handsome. He's a very friendly and dignified male. Easy to handle.

Walter is a one year old (as of 2/1/15) orange tabby. He is a total lap cat, cuddly as a teddy bear. Walter greets you with soft meows and loud purrs. He is great with other cats and would be purfect to keep you warm on cold winter days and he's GORGEOUS. Rescued in 2015.

Ward

Ward is a handsome gray Russian Blue mix cat found at Ward Acres Dog Park in New Rochelle. Around 5 years old, he is extremely sweet and is calm around people and animals, including dogs. A kind hearted dog walker first noticed him (or maybe he noticed her) and brought him to the New Rochelle Humane Society (NRHS) for a complete vet check. In excellent health, he is currently housed at NRHS but so wants a permanent home of his own. To learn more about Ward and meet him, please contact Susan at 914-804-0424. Rescued in 2014.

Wendy

a lively 1 1/2 year old, was found wandering the streets. She is still a little shy but loves to be petted. We're sure she would blossom in a home and she is excellent with other cats. Wendy has a particularly beautiful brown and black striped coat and a pure white chest.

Wendy is an all black female kitten. She part of a group of kittens rescued recently by our intrepid rescue volunteers. About 4 months old as of November 14th, Wendy has a small wobble in her step. Yes, Wendy wobbles! However, she keeps up with her brothers and is very energetic and playful. Rescued in 2014.

Wendy is a beautiful, luxurious lady - about a year old. She is demure, quiet but with a nice playfulness. She would like to find a calm home where she can be your one and only, preferably without other cats or dogs. Can you give her a home? Rescued in 2015.

Wesley

is 2 years old and wants to be friendly with people (he purrs when petted) although initially, he's a little timid. He has a soft gray tabby coat with a white chest, and has a large round male head. He'd make a great companion to another nice cat. We have seen him wrestle lovingly with other cats and groom them too.

Whiskers

is a handsome boy, about 5 years old. He is declawed and gets along with other cats.

is a sweet tabby and white kitten, about 7 weeks old. He's affectionate, friendly and very playful.

Whiskers is a sweet tuxedo kitten. He is 6 weeks old and loves to romp around with his brother and sisters. He looks a lot like his mother Daisy who is also up for adoption.

Whiskers is an adorable female kitten born on 5/17/13. She is very sweet and playful. Rescued in 2013.

Whiskey

This adorable little boy is only about 5 weeks old and was picked up by a kind person. At first he was scared, but now he loves to play with his foster mom and is as friendly as he is cute.

Whisper

COMING SOON - Whisper is the only girl of the 6 kittens and Gandolf is her twin brother, they appear to have a fair amount of russian blue history. Whisper has very unique soft fluffy hair and her brother Gandolf has smoother fur, they are both independent and confident kittens. Whisper also has the unusual distinction of being the biggest kitten of the bunch. They are both active climbers and would enjoy a platform stand. The look with their gray green eyes is extremely exotic. Whisper needs to be adopted with one of her siblings (Gandolf, Phantom, Ripley, Dove, Spencer)or to a household with other pets. White Socks

White Socks, a little over a year old, is an elegant black and white tuxedo who takes every opportunity to sit on a lap. She is lively and eager to make friends with someone who will give her attention and time. She loves to be petted but sometimes gets so stimulated by petting that she nips gently. And she likes to play-box. The family who found White Socks wandering the streets on her own took her in and wanted to adopt her but their presiding cat attacked White Socks mercilessly. White Socks does not hide from other cats but does not bond with them. Her bonding is with people.

Willa (Sugar Plum Kitties)

Willa Willa is from the Sugar Plum Kitties group. She is a very pretty short hair heather gray tabby with hints of amber. She is a little sweetie who is looking for a stable home where she can feel secure. Because Willa was rescued after her siblings, she has not bonded back with her group, and prefers to be where people are vs. her siblings. She will follow her foster parents around, and seems to feel better if she knows where you are. Willa will do very well with a person she can spend a lot of time and be one-on-one with. William

William just loves attention. This handsome Turkish Van cat and two year old boy is a real charmer - a true flirt. Playful and sociable as are his siblings, Sadie and Val, he enjoys other cats. William will be a marvelous asset in any feline friendly home.

William is a gorgeous Himalayan kitten, 14 weeks old. He is very sweet, friendly and good with other cats. He is neutered, utd on vaccines and ready to find his perfect home!

Willie is a 1 1/2 year old tabby kitty with a really playful personality. Feline companion to Gimpy (also featured on the website), Willie needs a new home since his young owner is on his way to college. Sweet Willie enjoys other cats and the humans he lives with. Willie is a handsome 10 month old kitten, very sweet and very playful. He was born with CH (cerebellar hypoplasia), a disorder that leads to some jerky movements and uncoordinated motion, but does not get worse with age. Willie doesn't let this stop him from being a healthy, happy kitty. He can use the litter box, move around well and is a bouncy, friendly kitten. Rescued in 2014.

Willow

Willow is a cottony, playful beauty who is quite photogenic. Born in mid-September, this young kitten enjoys any toys with feathers, is a great soccer player and accomplished at "hide'n'seek". Willow is good with cats and calm dogs. She is very attached to her only brother, Doc, who is also for adoption on this website. Rescued in 2011.

Willow is a 3 year old adorable tabby, who now resides in a wonderful foster home where she enjoys the dogs and other cats in the household. She is very sweet and affectionate, and will likely be a true lap cat. Willow loves to be petted, and enjoys all the human attention she can get. She will even Meow at you if you don't stop to give her a scratch. Rescued in 2013.

Willow was given to her current owner by a friend who found this cat abandoned. She is over a year old and is a lovely long haired pastel torti and white cat. She's a sweetheart with humans, but does not get along with other animals. She's got all her shots and is spayed. Willow & Brooke

These 2 girls were rescued in Queens along with their siblings Meadow and Bear (soon to be posted). Born approx May 14th, they are extremely outgoing and follow their foster mom around like puppies at her ankles. Affectionate and very silly with wiggly wiggly tails. These are adorable and bubbly, bouncy little girls and will do well in a family. Rescued in 2015.

Willy

is a gorgeous, fluffy, playful 11 week-old kitten. He is one of a litter of three whose mother tested positive for feline HIV, which can be passed on to other cats but not to humans or dogs. He needs to be tested at 4 months to see if he has it. Our past experience with HIV kittens has been that follow-up tests were negative.

Butch and his brother Willy (also listed on this website) are approximately 15 months old and are a very friendly duo. Don't let Willy's picture throw you - he would rather be playing or cuddling. These two cats are adorable, pink-nosed, sweet boys who have quickly warmed their way into our volunteers' hearts. They are very playful, love meeting new cats, and excited for attention. Their heads pop up every time people walk into the room. Butch and Willy are very bonded to one another so we would like to see them adopted together to the same fur-ever home. KC Rescued in 2016.

is a gorgeous green-eyed tabby with a white undercoat. She's about 4 months old and purrs like a lion when you pet her. She loves romping around with other kittens and playing with her toys.

Wilma is a young (1-2 year old) female kitty. This beautiful calico is a social butterfly and love bug. She sadly lost her home when he's owner unexpectedly passed away. She loves to be held, roll around and and have her belly tickled. She lived with another cat and will do well in a busy household with children, cats and/or dogs. BP Rescued in 2017.

Here comes Winkie. An adorable, alert, inquisitive kitty who was found in Mt. Vernon. In excellent health and now up to date on all shots, Winkie would just love to be an indoors only cat in a home that would appreciate this charming feline. Winston is a beautiful male Russian Blue about 4-5 months old. He is shy at first but when he warms up he is a very affectionate and curious boy. When it is time to eat you can hear him purring from a mile away. He loves people and other cats. He is living in a foster home with Becky and he and Becky are becoming fast friends. All he wants to do is rub up against her. Winston is already neutered.

Meet Winston! Winston is a young male cat who recently wandered into our Brooklyn backyard. We have been feeding and caring for him while looking for his "furever" home. We are unable to adopt him because our cat will not tolerate another animal in our house (She is our feline overlord...). We have set up a cat house and litter box on our backyard patio. Winston has been neutered and he is up to date on his shots/vaccines. He is extremely sweet and very playful, head-butts and loves sitting on our laps and purring. He would do best as your only pet. Winter

Winter (an adorable, playful female kitten) is part of a litter of 4 kittens who were born (1/22/15) in a window well of an apartment complex in Riverdale. Our dedicated rescuer received a call from a friend who had been hearing kittens crying. She and another tenant rescued the kittens from their snowy hiding place and started bottle feeding. Winter's siblings are Chilly, Frosty and Snowdrop. Winter is especially bonded to Chilly and they need to be adopted together. Rescued in 2015.

Wolfie

Wolfie is a young grey and white male who has had a rough time in his young life. This warm and friendly cat was shot in the face and had to be hospitalized for a week. Now recovered, in good health, neutered and up to date with all shots, Wolfie is ready for a permanent loving home. This heroic cat loves to be tickled and is fun to be around. Rescued in 2011.

Wolfie, a grey and white male, has had a rough start in his young life, but he has come through with flying colors. This wonderful feline was shot in the face and hospitalized for a week. Now all better and in good health (neutered, up to date with vaccinations), Wolfie is resting comfortably in a foster home environment. This heroic cat, with a friendly and sweet personality, loves to be tickled and is fun to be around. He deserves a loving permanent home. Rescued in 2011.

Woodie is a perfect example of the many advantages of adopting an adult cat. At two years old, this big, handsome, longhaired tabby is as adorable, playful, friendly, and affectionate as a kitten, yet incredibly easygoing and adaptable. Woodie would do well in almost any home situation, and he would love a chance to show you how wonderful he can be.
